The ability to have a job and provide for yourself and your family is important for every Alabamian. I will support actions in Washington D.C. that help create a climate for businesses to grow and prosper without picking winners and losers through implemented policies. Free-market principles must drive our economy in order to have a robust job market. Pro-growth policies that encourage and nurture both existing and new businesses help raise our standard of living, and it creates upward mobility and opportunities for families. Common sense conservative solutions are needed to reignite the economic growth we experienced under President Trump. As a small business owner, I understand the struggles that can occur while working to accomplish our dreams. Because of this, I have always worked as an advocate for small businesses, pro-business policies, and removing unnecessary governmental oversight and red tape. Whether it was legislation that risked the success of business owners in Alabama, or government mandates that disastrously limited business operations, I will always be a Pro-Business conservative who will fight for you.

Our Constitution affords us, as Americans, certain rights and freedoms. Additionally, our government is supposed to work for us on our behalf. Unfortunately, our rights and freedoms are being limited and stripped from us. I am a staunch defender of our liberties and rights. I adamantly oppose the government forcing mandates upon us that infringe upon our personal, financial, and healthcare freedoms. Fighting for our freedoms and rights is critical when we have leadership like Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and the radical Left that do not put America First in their policies.  I refuse to let our rights and freedoms be stripped from us. 

One of the fundamental responsibilities of the federal government is to protect our borders and nation. Safe and secure borders are vital to the safety and security of our country. Currently, the massive influx of illegal immigrants is costing American citizens their jobs and placing a constant strain on our country’s resources. The dangerous transportation of illegal drugs and weapons has become a major threat to our national security, and something needs to be done. We need to secure our borders and stop these lawless individuals from putting our children in danger, and taking advantage of our nation.

North Alabama is in a unique position as we provide so many vital operations that support the defense of our nation. Having diverse companies like Teledyne Brown Engineering, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Torch, Hexagon PPM, and so many others, it is critical that we protect our nation and continue to fund these vital Constitutional operations. Whether it is FBI operations, NASA, or Army Materiel Command, the budgets for these operations must be protected. District 5 needs a strong fighter who understands the makeup of the area and industries that contribute to it, and I am willing to fight for our defense and military personnel. It is also vital that we continue to honor and provide the resources that our incredible veterans deserve. We must protect and look out for the individuals that put their life on the line to protect our freedom.

The current direction of our country under Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer does not support an America First focus. It is time we end Cancel Culture and stop the attempt to rewrite history by the tearing down of monuments. I do not support tearing down any Historical Monuments. Alabama currently has a law against such acts and the Law should be followed. Current supply chain issues must be addressed in order for our Nation to grow and prosper. Depending upon foreign nations to supply critical components to our space and defense programs is dangerous and risky. We need a representative that is ready to offer solutions to these problems and fight back against these liberal agendas. I have never walked away from a fight, and I do not shy away from tough situations

Growing up in Alabama, I was taught that personal responsibility, hard work, faith, and persistence would take you a long way. My parents were correct and those life lessons have served me well and I was proud to pass these values to my children. In order to best help others, it is important to be on solid ground yourself. As your representative, I will keep my Christian faith and values close when making decisions, because I understand how the choices made in DC can affect so many people. I believe that life begins at conception, that all life is precious and I vow to fight for all life, before AND after birth. 

Coming from a family of timber farmers and living in North Alabama almost all of my life, I understand the important role that farmers play in all of our lives. Farmers put food on our tables, clothes on our backs, and supplies in our homes. They are vital to our lives in every way, and they deserve the support and representation necessary for them to succeed. I will be an advocate for agribusiness in North Alabama, so our farmers can prosper and continue being such successful contributors to our economy. As an avid hunter, I have always respected our earth and the incredible resources that it provides us in order to survive. 

Whether it is advanced manufacturing, missile technology, telecommunications, biogenetics, or rocket ships; North Alabama has innovative technologies and opportunities that most regions just cannot support. The importance of maintaining continued advancement in these areas will be part of my mission in Washington D.C. Energy independence is necessary for America to protect itself in the future. I will support restarting the Keystone Pipeline and investment in the modernizing of hydro-electric and nuclear power to ensure that America does not depend upon foreign nations for our energy needs. Big tech and social media must stop censoring our voices and infringing upon our Freedom of Speech. Our district includes large areas of rural communities that need high speed connectivity in order to provide education, healthcare services, and to be economically competitive. Rural broadband is vital to pushing our communities forward, and I will always be a proponent of this advancement.

Parents that are concerned about their child's education should never be referred to as domestic terrorists. Every teacher that I personally know, recognizes the important function a parent has in furthering the education of every child. Rather than teaching children Critical Race Theory, we should be nurturing relationships of cooperation and partnership instead of division by race. Education dollars should not have strings tied to them. States and local communities should have the flexibility to use dollars in a manner that they see fit because there is no “one size fits all” approach to education. Local schools and communities need the option of trying different approaches, whether it is charter schools, school choice, or a hybrid solution that is brought to the table. Public education is the foundation of building a strong nation, and flexibility with dollars is key to finding the right solutions both locally and nationally.
